Jet Screenshot allows you to save a screen shot to file on the local computer. The user can select this share option from the popup menu on the toolbar.

After saving the screenshot to file, you can click the balloon to open the folder with the saved file. The file will be highlighted automatically.

By default, Jet Screenshot saves screen shots in JPEG. The quality of JPEG output is configurable (Read: Setting screenshot quality).

The Save to File option can be set up in the Change Settings dialog. The user can set this option as a default share method, select whether to save in JPEG or PNG. If the second format is chosen, the image quality is maximal.

The user can also choose the destination folder to save screen shots by default. With the destination folder chosen, Jet Screenshot will save captured images to this folder automatically, rather than bring up the dialog asking the user to select the target folder.
